Here at the University of Kent, we are looking for an IT Operations & Service Delivery Manager, to join our Information Services Management Team.
This is a rare opportunity here at the University of Kent and we are looking for someone who has significant experience in IT operations and maintenance, server configuration and network management. We are also looking for someone who has a proven track record of successfully leading and engaging teams whilst also driving performance for the best customer experience.

More about the role:
In this role you will manage the IT Operations and Service Delivery team which undertakes the day-to-day operation of all central IT systems and services. The team plans and manages the maintenance, monitoring and security of all the underlying IT infrastructure and related systems (on and off premise), including identity management systems, data centres, services and networks.
You will also play a big part in ensuring the working environment and practices of all IT staff across the University fosters and supports good working practices which support and enable all staff to deliver on their responsibilities to a quality, robust and secure IT service.
You should apply if you:
Have knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure provision and management
Have extensive knowledge and experience of Windows and/or Linux server configuration, virtualisation and administration
Have extensive knowledge and experience of network management and maintenance
Have experience of leading and managing a high performing technical team including experience of working with people policies.
Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. driving team engagement and motivation including virtual, matrix and project teams.
Have project management experience
Enjoy the work that you do and passionate about own self learning / development, keeping abreast of new ways of working / developments and implementing these where relevant.
