MINIBUS DRIVER – ATRIUM COFFEE SHOP OPERATIVE
Part Time
Required for January 2025 start.
We are looking for a dedicated, conscientious person to join the School Transport Team and the Atrium Coffee Shop
This is a dual role, driving school vehicles for our home to school transport in the morning and evenings and working in the school coffee shop during the daytime.
Minibus Driver
This is a varied role, which can change daily depending on travelling pupil numbers. Your role will be to ensure all our pupils using the School Bus Service are transported to and from School promptly and safety.
You will need to register pupils on the Drivers App. Driving licence category D1 is required, but consideration would be given to suitable applicants with a standard car licence. Good communication skills are essential.
The position is required for both the morning and afternoon school bus service. The hours may vary depending on the route undertaken but will be in the region of 15 hours per week. Monday to Friday during term time (35 weeks per year).
The role is predominantly based at the Senior School, East Hill, but flexibility is required as you may start/finish at the Prep School, Great Chart.
Coffee Shop Assistant
This is a varied role, where you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the Atrium coffee shop.
The role includes ordering products, serving pupils, staff and visitors, cleanliness of the facility, stock control and daily reconciliation of sales.
Food hygiene certification would be advantageous, but not essential as this can be undertaken in post.
The hours may vary but will be in the region of 23 hours per week. Monday to Friday during term time (35 weeks per year).
Dual Role
The Atrium coffee shop is operated by two employees, who are both also drivers for the school bus service.
Currently, the role works on a weekly shift pattern:
Monday & Tuesday 0715-1800
Wednesday to Friday 0600-1400
Ideally, we would like to employ one person to undertake both positions, but consideration would be given to split the role for the right candidates.
