If you have experience of coordinating complex projects and can demonstrate strengths in organisation, leading and motivating people to deliver key objectives, this role within our Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) could be just right for you.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and line managing three members of the Operations Team, this role will focus on supporting key operational activities within KMMS, and providing direct support to the Project Manager by contributing to project planning and process improvement.

As an Operations and Project Officer you will:

operate as senior member of the Operations team provide strong administrative support and guidance relating to multiple Operations activities
coordinate multiple aspects of Project activity, ensuring the efficient running and delivery of projects against key milestones
liaise with a broad range of stakeholders across both institutions
prioritise workloads and that of others in line with shifting deadlines and competing demands.
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

educated to A-Level or equivalent
substantial experience in a similar role providing administrative support and coordination
excellent IT skills, particularly in the use of MS Office packages (intermediate level)
excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and effective facilitation and negotiation skills and the ability to produce clear and concise written materials.
line management/supervisory experience and the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
KMMS opened to our first cohort of 108 pioneer students in September 2020. Our vision for KMMS is to create a new medical school for Kent and Medway that becomes a beacon for first-class medical education and research. The School will attract the most talented aspiring doctors from within the local community and beyond, offering training and development opportunities that will help to keep that talent in Kent and Medway.
