Are you a compassionate and organised individual looking for a rewarding career supporting others with their independence skills?
I am a 29-year-old woman with learning disabilities, who really enjoys listening to music. I also like going shopping with my sister, bowling, and cooking. I enjoy getting out and about and keeping busy. I find it difficult being in crowds or meeting new people and I really need to stick to my routine as I find it very upsetting if things change. I have a great sense of humour. I live with my family who are very supportive.
I am looking for a PA who can support me to learn to plan and shop for food and help me learn to cook new recipes, learning to be aware of food hygiene and safety. As my PA, you will help me to learn to be more independent by encouraging me to develop money skills, and to be more confident to find and take part in local social groups that I find interesting. This includes being supported when I am socialising online, by helping me managing risks to remain safe. I find other relationships difficult, and I would like a PA who can assist me to learn to manage by anxiety using healthy coping skills, so I can manage disagreements in a more proactive way. The PA would also need to support me in meetings, such as a doctor’s appointments, to encourage me to fully participate and talk about what is important to me. I am looking for an applicant who can be firm with me and is able to set and keep boundaries.
If you are passionate about helping others live independently, and you are patient, helpful, caring and have a good sense of humour, please apply for this great opportunity. In return you’ll benefit from a great hourly rate of £10.50 per hour, paid holiday, free enhanced DBS check, and you’ll feel rewarded as you will be helping someone remain independent.
