Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit a Finance Operations Manager to join the team based at our head office. Applicants must be AAT and/or QBE qualified, and have experience of charity finance, including Management Accounts and Charity VAT function.
Imago is a leading charity in the South East with 200 employees. This is a new role in our senior management team, and you will manage day-to-day finance operations, and oversee wider finance functions, including expenses, sales and purchase ledger, and nominal ledger. You will work closely with the Director of Finance and deputise in their absence, providing information to the Leadership Team as required.
You will prepare monthly Management Accounts, lead on Charity VAT functions, as well as having finance responsibility for specific projects and associated purchasing. As a senior manager, you should be proactive, able to take initiative, solve problems, support decision-making and contribute to strategic planning.
The postholder will provide effective leadership, management, support and ongoing mentoring to a small team, ensuring staff receive appropriate supervision, appraisals, training and development. You should have experience of managing or mentoring staff members, and be able to motivate and empower others.
Working in finance, applicants are expected to be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and be proficient in using excel and other Office software. Experience in using QuickBooks would be an advantage.
We are a friendly organisation with a strong commitment to the values of the charity; applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to establish effective relationships at all levels
The role is based in Tunbridge Wells but will require some travel to other offices, so a car driver essential.
