Job Information
Hendley Removals & Storage are a family owned and operated business based in Paddock Wood undertaking moves and re-locations across Kent and on a more national level. We are looking for removals porters/drivers from 3.5t (car licence) up to 7.5t to join our team.
We have positions available for 3.5t and 7.5t Driver Porters.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Working as part of our removals team
• Carry out domestic and commercial moves both locally and nationally
• Responsible for packing items, loading and unloading vehicles, furniture dismantle/re-assemble
• Customer liaison • Working with 3rd parties where necessary
• Undertake relevant internal and external training
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Removals experience preferred but not essential as full training provided
• Ability to work as part of a small team
• Strong customer service skills in this client facing role
• Physically fit and able
• Full driving licence
• Ability to stay calm in busy situations and respond with measured actions
• Knowledge of local area
• Excellent time management skills
Working Hours, Pay and Benefits Offered:
• Salary up to £35,000
• Overtime available
• Working hours are generally Monday to Friday. Hours are based on a 45 hour week but not set due to nature of business
• Staff Pension scheme
• Free parking and uniform provided
• Internal progression opportunities including supervisory roles and large vehicle driver training
• 5 weeks Paid Holiday plus bank holidays
