Accounts Assistant | Maidstone (Office Based) | Up to £28K
Our client based on the outskirts of Maidstone. Is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join a part of their busy but small finance team. This role will predominantly focus on managing the purchase ledger and ensuring smooth running of the department.
Key responsibilities:
• Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded
• Assist with preparation and process payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
• Reconcile supplier statements and manage any queries or issues that arise.
• Maintain and update the purchase ledger, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
• Manage sales invoices
• Send customer statements
• Chase overdue invoices
• Take card payments
• Debtors list
• Cashflow forecasting
• Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed, including audits and financial reporting.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any payment or invoicing issues.
Candidate Profile:
• Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Use of Sage 50 is essential
