Background of department/role

Christ Church Sport and Active Health is seeking to appoint new Sports and Active Health Domestic Assistants to contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of our University Sport Centre. Working under the direction of the Assistant Manager, Gym and Facilities, you will contribute to the cleaning of all areas of the building, including changing areas, toilets, gym, offices, sports hall and studios. Christ Church Sport and Active Health is responsible for the delivery of sport and physical activity opportunities at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Our aim is to provide a high-quality, progressive and inclusive, sport and physical activity offer to the whole University community and to develop our work and reputation in the local, regional and international community for the benefit of students, staff, the University and our community partners. We aim to provide the ultimate in member experience and always aim to project a professional, welcoming service to our students, visitors and staff, and the cleanliness of our building is a vital ingredient.

The successful candidate will work primarily regular early morning shifts, with occasional evenings and weekends to prepare the sports performance areas as well as the changing and toilet areas for use during the day. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
