FP&A Manager | Ashford | £70k - £80k
Cobb & Jones are partnered with a large FMCG business in Ashford, supporting them in their search for a new FP&A Manager. The FP&A Manager is a critical role for the local team. You will be a leader, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial future by providing insightful analysis, accurate forecasting, and strategic guidance to stakeholders at all levels. Your work will shine a light on the commercial performance of the business, as well as performance drivers across multiple channels and geographies. You will lead the annual budgeting process, the annual Mid-Term Strategy review, and drive quarterly forecasting of the P&L and cash positions.
You will lead the finance teams in their mission to utilise data and insights to drive value-driven decision making across the group, as we embark on our continual growth journey.
Responsibilities:
• Provide analytical leadership of performance drivers, with practical alignment to business initiatives and results.
• Lead and own collaborative initiatives across Product, Analytics, Control, and functional teams to source and interrogate performance information.
• Assess suitable actions, and present these with authority, giving due regard to relevant assumptions and informational anchor.
• Ensure the alignment of team priorities to the strategic business objectives.
• Role mode and champion collaborative stakeholder partnerships across business functions.
• Conduct financial analysis of ongoing business performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth, profitability, and cashflow management.
• Run the FP&A budgeting process through to board sign-off, ensuring cross functional alignment with strategic goals and efficient allocation of resources.
• Challenge material business assumptions in the development of our functional business plans.
• Lead the annual 5-year Strategy Plan.
• Partner with business leaders across the organisation to translate strategic objectives into financial models and metrics.
• Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors, includes P&L and Cash reporting to a Board level on a monthly basis.
• Build rapport with functional leaders and conduct deep-dives on critical business topics with objective candour.
• Produce accurate KPIs for Head of Finance (Operations), utilise automation and BI tools.
• Continuous development and improvements on the financial processes in order to support all above activities.
Profile:
• At least 2-5 years’ experience within a FP&A position
• Commercially orientated
• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant/Accounting Technician or Degree
• Business Graduate
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical / Healthcare market or FMCG / product based (E)
• Exposure to Private Equity / stand-alone SME business (E)
• Advanced Excel capability (E)
• Use of SAP (ECC6 or By Design) (D)
• Have a numerical and analytical aptitude
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrate initiative and proactive attitude
• Pharmaceutical / FMCG industry experience (E)
• Qualified Accountant (incl Part Qualified.) - ACCA / CIMA Preferred
• University degree
