Dialogue Matters is a small, informal, and friendly company looking for a special person to help us achieve more for nature, climate, and people. We design and facilitate Stakeholder Dialogues, and train people in the same award-winning skills. Our workshops, training, and research involve people in person and online. We work in the UK and abroad, with local, regional, and international organisations. Once employed, the right candidate will develop skills and responsibility enabling them to progress.
What you’ll do
Ensure projects are well run, taking responsibility for the organisation and behind the scenes support of dialogue processes and training, online and in person
Liaise effectively with all contacts to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard
Draft project documents and reports
Draft tenders and quotes
Carry out desk top research
Support delivery of workshops, research, and training
Organise documents and files
Other tasks as required to help the general running of business
Occasional work and travel, and maybe even overnight stays, outside of agreed working hours
You’ll bring
A teaming and collaborative approach
The ability to figure things out and get things done, whether working from home or in office
Great spoken, written, and non-verbal communication
Solid IT skills, and familiarity with common programs (e.g. MS Office, Zoom)
Organisational skills to succeed at multiple projects and tasks
Understanding of the important role stakeholder participation plays in decisions around nature, climate, and people – or willingness to learn.
Willingness to learn and apply facilitation and participation skills and techniques, and/or experience of the same.
Space and tech to be able to work effectively from home as required (solid broadband a must!)
An environmental, psychology, or similar degree (or A-Levels plus training or experience)
Knowledge about environmental policy, organisations, and interests. (Desirable)
Own transport is essential
We’ll provide
A salary in the range £23.1k - £24.5k p.a. (experience dependent)
Some flex over standard working hours 08:00-17:30 Mon-Fri (37.5 hrs in total pw)
25 days annual leave (plus Public Holidays)
Pension scheme
Structured and self-guided learning, as well as learning ‘on the job’
Friendly rural work environment and an office dog (Optional up to 2 days per week remote working)
