Construction Project Manager


Reporting directly to the Director of Estates and Grounds, the Construction/Project Manager will take a lead role in managing and delivering major site projects. They will also have a close working relationship with the Director of Estates: Capital Projects who has a strategic role in planning and developing our major capital projects.

This is a hands-on role that requires a combination of construction and site expertise and project management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the client team and our supply chain, building strong relationships while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, effectively, on time and budget, and safely.

Over the last 10 years, the school has undertaken over £30m of capital projects and plans are being developed for the next 10 years including significant upgrades to our boarding houses.


Salary range £50-£60,000 per annum dependent upon qualifications and experience. The core hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with some out of hours on call cover. Flexibility is a requirement of the position with hours as required to complete the role.


In addition to the above, Benenden School offer employees’ pension contribution, meals provided free of charge whilst on duty, free on-site parking, and use of the school’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool.

Benenden School is an independent day and boarding school for girls, founded in 1923 and situated in 250 acres of beautiful parkland in rural Kent. At present, there are 550 girls in the school. A considerable amount of new building has been completed in recent years, including an All-Weather Pitch, Staff Housing and a new School Hall and Music School.
