Dartford Primary Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated SEND and Inclusion team and provide support for pupils within our school. The person we appoint will have a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development. They will have high expectations of themselves and of children to enable every child to be fully included and to reach their potential, whilst showing initiative and adaptability and be committed to working as a member of a team. Under the direction of our class teachers, you will be working to meet the bespoke needs of our children through providing scaffolding and intervention to meet their needs. You will need to have a good understanding of maths and English in order to be able to support pupils in lessons. You will need to be able to think on your feet in order to adapt ideas and support our pupils. In return, they will join a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

This is a Paid on Claim position, with hours to be agreed in advance, and offers an actual salary of £11.77 per hour (£22,714 full-time equivalent), working during term time only.
