Temporary Payroll Officer
Location: Cranbrook
Job Type: Temporary (2-month assignment)
Salary: Competitive
We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Temporary Payroll Officer for a 2-month assignment with our client based in Cranbrook. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes with precision and ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
*Process payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner.
*Calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments.
*Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
*Prepare financial reports and statements related to payroll for review by management.
*Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements affecting payroll.
*Address and resolve any inquiries or issues related to payroll.
*Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure coordination of payroll processes.
*Manage and record sick leave, vacation, and other leave according to company policies.
*Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related deductions.
*Assist with internal and external payroll audits as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role.
*Strong knowledge of payroll practices, laws, and regulations.
*Experience with payroll software and proficient in MS Office.
*Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
*Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
*Strong organisational and time management skills.
*Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
*Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport due to the location of the assignment.
