We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant for our busy Finance Department. We are a small team who manage the finances of the College. Duties will include, but are not limited to, fee management & credit control, running the purchasing system, posting & reconciling bank accounts, managing departmental budgets, assisting with monthly payroll and preparing reports for management accounts.
Essential attributes required:
• Minimum 5 years experience of working in a busy Finance Department
• Experience of payroll processing
• Familiarity with purchase order software & invoice processing
• Organised with an ability to prioritise tasks
• Professional persona & confident with client queries
• Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience of various accounting software packages
• Diligent with the ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
• Teamworking attitude, willingness to assist
• Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
• AAT qualification
