We are supporting our client, an expert in their field with over 100 years in the trade, in their search for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their busy supply chain team at their head office in east Kent.

You will be required to ensure the timely delivery of products from your portfolio of suppliers, ensuring the supply of materials meets production and minimum stock levels, in order to achieve operational and sales targets and to meet customer demands.

This is an 830am to 5pm Monday to Friday position, with an hour for lunch (fully site based - no hybrid working) and in return for your hard work, you will receive c£27k, plus a host of benefits, some of which are:

Duties

* Develop supplier relationships ensuring best value and stock availability
* Day to day order, shipment & invoice processing
* Monitoring of inventory levels against agreed targets
* Analyse and deliver current and future stock requirements
* Monitor upcoming levels of demand and spend
* Encourage collaboration within all areas of the Company to understand factors influencing supply chain and seek to reduce waste and improve processes to achieve business objectives
* Engage problem-solving techniques to maintain stock availability and minimise costs
* Add to the on-going success of the company & maintain business confidentiality
* Understand and exceed customer expectations

The ideal candidate will:

* Have experience in coordinating supply of materials and components.
* Be able to plan and implement processes for materials delivery.
* Have experience in monitoring inventory levels against targets.
* Be capable of sourcing materials when appropriate.
* Have analytical skills, ERP/IT system knowledge as well as Excel capabilities.
* Be able to understand and interpret data.
* Have keen eye for detail and good communication skills.
* Be able to remain calm and focused under pressure and be a problem solver.
