Our client is seeking to hire a Customer Service Advisor for their Ashford office, who is also able to go to Tenterden or Dover to cover holiday or sickness if needed. You will be the primary customer point of contact for the business, taking inbound calls and dealing with customers who visit in person, handling all manner of customer queries, policy changes and claims processing. This is a Monday to Friday, 9-5pm, role (35hrs per week), with an hours lunch break.
Salary is £19-22,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with benefits to include:
* 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
* The option to buy or sell 5 days after probation
* Birthday day off
* Health Shield cash-back plan

* Free parking
* Friday fruit delivery
* Annual company trips for staff
Duties to include:
* Review and advise customers on insurance requirements
* Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities/activities
* Acquire and maintain knowledge of company products and Product Licences
* Arrange and provide appropriate advice on products
* Process payments from customers
* To comply with Compliance Manual, Claims Guide and local agency procedures
This role involves extensive and ongoing training, so if you're looking for a career move, this is it! Insurance experience isn't necessary, but the ideal candidate will have:
* Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to build effective relationships through positive behaviours
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office and to use company systems
* Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
* Willingness to learn new skills & able to problem solve
* Hard working and great team player
* Own transport & full UK driving licence
Full training provided (may include additional travel and staying away from home in order to attend training courses). Potential to complete CII qualifications and may be occasional weekend work to support agency events.
