We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, committed and highly skilled self-employed (Visiting Music Teacher (VMT)) Singing Teacher to join our first-class Junior and Senior School Music Departments from after Michaelmas Half-Term (week Monday 06 November 2023).
The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher who can offer tuition in a range of singing styles, from popular to classical. The successful candidate will have a passion for inspiring our singers to perform to the highest possible standard as well as being an active performer in their own right.
They will join a team of thirteen current VMTs within the Junior and Senior School Music Departments, collectively teaching well over 100 pupils each week.
Visiting Music Teachers are recruited by our Directors of Music from both the Junior School and Senior school. They are responsible to the respective Director of Music in all matters relating to performance, ensembles, recruitment and pupil progress and the day-to-day management of their timetables.
Visiting Music Teachers are self-employed and invoice parents directly each term.
The rate is currently set at £43.00 per hour. Visiting Music Teachers are expected to communicate with parents to arrange lessons, organise payment and report on progress, (avoiding core subjects in the JS where possible), when timetabling. They are also required to submit timetables in advance of teaching to the music administrator.
