An incredible opportunity at Canterbury Christ Church University’s Sport and Active Health department for a Member Services Advisor.

We are looking for outgoing candidates with a passion for sports, fitness and wellbeing. Our vibrant and friendly team promotes creativity, and we want our staff to thrive as we provide a huge range of active health opportunities to our students and staff.
At Christ Church we care about sport, health, and fitness. We have invested in multi-million-pound facilities, including our University Sport Centre with a double sports hall, state of the art spin studio, gym and fitness facilities. Our gym is packed with modern fitness equipment, and we offer a wide range of fitness classes, personal training and an exercise referral service. We also deliver amazing programmes and interventions for physical activity and wellbeing, including an innovative mobile app that tracks steps and rewards with prizes!
We run academic sessions, sports team training sessions and fixtures at polo farm sports centre and the University’s sports centre as well as at Stodmarsh playing fields. All of which require our staff to cover and assist.
The successful candidate will work to a two-week rota. The shift patterns fall between 6:45 am and 10 pm Monday – Friday and 8:45 am and 6 pm weekends.

The Role
Member Services Advisors are the face of our department and work on the front line with the University’s students, staff and members. You will be actively engaged in the promotion of our services and encourage people to get involved. Our Member Services Advisors greet clients at the Sports Centre reception, provide information through a variety of media channels, sell memberships, take bookings and maintain records.
The Person
We would love to see people with a passion for sport, health and fitness, with good organisational skills and who are naturals at engaging people. You should be confident with IT, including experience with excel, word and power point. Above all, you must be motivated by wanting to make a difference to people’s health and wellbeing, with knowledge of what it takes to deliver positive experiences.
