Credit Control Supervisor | Rochester | 25-32k

Our client, a hugely successful Kent based SME, are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team in Rochester. Acting as Credit Control Supervisor, this individual will support another credit control team member and report directly to the Transactional Finance Manager.

Job Purpose:
• To assist in the collection of customer accounts over multiple Group companies.
• To liaise with customers and internal parties to resolve queries.
• To receipt the daily banking.
• To offer credit accounts to those who pass relevant credit checks.
• To support the Transactions Manager.

Key accountabilities:
• Chase unpaid invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed timescales.
• To call a minimum of 40 customers per day.
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
• Regularly making contact with customers to ensure relevant debts are managed.
• Setting up new accounts.
• Receipting and allocating the daily banking.
• Run credit checks on new and old accounts.
• Placing accounts on stop when required.
• Ensure customer details are accurate and amend when required.
• Resolving customer queries with internal departments in a timely manner.
• Undertaking small projects.
• Meet defined department goals as advised by the line manager.
• Referring debts to our legal team once all internal chasing has been exhausted.
• Any other Ad-Hoc duties requested.

Skills & Experience:
• Strong experience in credit control.
• Excellent and considerate customer service to all.
• Ability to work from own initiative whilst still proactively supporting a team effort.
• Numerate with good analytical skills.
• Approachable and reliable.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
