My client a leader in their field are recruiting for an experienced Solution Architect to join their team as they begin an ambitious change programme to; redesign their services, operationally integrate their and transform their applications landscape. They will be implementing new management and finance systems, supplemented with Microsoft D365 CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, online services built on Sitecore, and a new Data Platform (built on Microsoft Azure) to support data integration and analytics including AI / ML.

As a Solutions Architect, you'll help us shape this landscape, finding innovative solutions to the business challenges and playing an active role in the wider Architecture community as they shape their future design patterns and standards to support their new IT strategy.



The job holder will be responsible for:

* Preparing detailed design solutions. Taking overall lead for cross platform solution designs. Ensures all solutions are reviewed and signed off by Architecture Review Board.

* Participating in Architecture Round Table discussions to identify high level solution option(s) for new business demand.
* Acting as SME within the group for areas of expertise (e.g. D365, Sitecore, Integration using Microsoft Azure tooling etc).
* Supporting engineer to deliver design, providing advice and guidance regarding the solution design and the engineering solutions, agreeing small variations to the overall design and obtaining ARB approval for material changes. Assuring the design integrity of the outputs to CAB.
* Participating as part of the wider Architectural community. Helping to develop and maintain overall architecture standards, processes, and methodologies.

Skills and Experience:

* Previous experience working as a Solutions Architect, in a medium/large IT function with a good appreciation of Architecture best practice and familiar with standard industry methods tools and processes to support an architecture function.
* Experience solutioning across Cloud solutions and hybrid Cloud / On-Prem architecture - with the aim to reduce complexity and improve value for money of solutions.
* Knowledge of application development architectures, tools, technology frameworks and security principles, Certification would be advantageous
* Excellent solution design and documentation abilities, with the interpersonal skills to be able to promote and maintain adherence to current strategies

* Experience of working in an agile environment preferably in a scaled scrum environment.
* Specialist technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
* Microsoft Azure - Containers, Integration Tools, Serverless Technologies
* Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint
* .Net, C#, Microsoft tool set,

* Systems integration & interfaces (APIs/SOA/ESB/XML/Java/J2EE or similar)
* COTS products in these areas (CRM, Document Management, Collaboration, Enterprise Content Management, Analytics, Performance Management)
* Working knowledge of MS SQL and DB tools
* Common data & Shared services environments
* Identity management / Authentication products

* Computer Telephone Integration - multi site, cloud/on premises
* Familiarity with DevOps and Test environment
