We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer and a Civils/Groundworker for our site at the Port of Sheerness, to join our skilled and dedicated teams providing an industry leading service to our customers handling a vast array of cargo including forest products, steel, automotive, bulks and Project Cargo, as well as processing RoRo and LoLo cargo.

Our Multi Skilled Engineers deal with preventative maintenance work on all electrical, mechanical and infrastructure, respond to unplanned failures and contribute to tactical decisions to ensure operational continuity. We are looking for candidates with both electrical and mechanical skill sets. They must be capable of working effectively under pressure in a safety critical, busy environment and possess a fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment such as logic controllers, hydraulic systems and instrumentations whilst possessing a strong fault finding capability. They will possess knowledge of effective maintenance strategies ie; RCM, PM, CBM and TPM and will be willing and able to use fault finding diagnostic equipment.

Our Semi-Skilled Maintenance (civils and groundwork) Operatives carry out both planned and preventative maintenance work to our infrastructure buildings and grounds as well as maintenance tasks such as labouring. We are looking for candidates with a good problem solving skills. They will have experience and/or demonstrated competences of Building / Grounds maintenance.. There is a requirement to operate some plant and machinery so licenses in any of the following would be highly advantageous: Fork Lift Truck, Sweeper, Excavator, Trailer towing, Sand blasting equipment, and MEWP. Strong experience background of civil works, carpentry and plumbing works.

If you are interested in working with us you must possess a positive can-do attitude towards flexible/shift working to meet the needs of our operation, you will possess strong communication skills and the ability to understand and accurately follow safe systems of work. Experience of working within heavy industry, or a similar safety conscious environment would be an advantage.
