This is an exciting opportunity to work within the School of Economics on a part time (0.8FTE) and fixed term basis (to 31 July 2020) in the role of Undergraduate Co-ordinator (Module Administrator). You will be a key member of the team, undertaking a range of student-focused administrative duties for the School. You will provide a range of administrative and clerical support to undergraduate students, academic staff and administrative staff, principally in managing the administration of the School’s modules on various platforms, in order to ensure the School’s student-facing operation is efficient and effective.
As Undergraduate Co-ordinator (Module Administrator) you will:
Act as primary lead for the administration of the School’s undergraduate modules
Be responsible for the management and administration of the School’s undergraduate online learning platforms, such as Moodle, to ensure that students and staff can use them to benefit from an enhanced learning and teaching experience
Provide an efficient and effective support service to staff in order to facilitate the undergraduate teaching operation within the School
Provide support for the School’s coursework and exam arrangements, to ensure assessment processes run smoothly
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent and be Educated to A level, or have equivalent work experience
Proven experience of working in an administrative, secretarial or clerical role
Proven ability to adopt an active approach to problem solving whilst assessing outcomes of own work and constantly reviewing processes to improve them
Experience of minute or note taking
Contract Type: Fixed Term - Ends 31/07/2020
