About the Role:
As a Trainee Draughtsperson, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and machinists, learning how to create detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks software. You’ll also gain exposure to high-precision manufacturing and inspection equipment.
What You'll Learn:
• How to use SolidWorks to design engineering components
• How to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• How to produce accurate technical drawings
• The basics of precision tooling and manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience with Sodick wire EDM machines
What We're Looking For:
• An interest in CAD design, engineering, or manufacturing
• Basic understanding of SolidWorks (advantageous but not required)
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Good attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work well as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential):
• Relevant college course, diploma, or hands-on experience in engineering or CAD
