The Graduate College has strategic oversight for postgraduate research and postgraduate taught students at Canterbury Christ Church University. The key strategic objectives of the Graduate College are to promote excellence at postgraduate level, developing our offer to keep pace with demand for both academic and practice-based postgraduate courses and to provide an excellent postgraduate student experience.
Join the friendly and efficient Graduate College Team in a role that provides an opportunity to work with academic and professional services colleagues on a range of essential day-to-day tasks, as well as events and projects working to support postgraduate students at CCCU.
As Graduate College Administrator you will play a key role in delivering Graduate College activities and providing an excellent student experience to postgraduate students, as well as supporting Graduate College academic staff and the Dean of the Graduate College.
You will have excellent organisation skills and an eye for detail, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Experience of customer service or inbox management, organising meetings or events and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience of Microsoft Office are essential requirements. Experience of higher education, diary management and minute taking would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
How will you work?
Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
Supporting both students and staff, this role will be required on campus for 4 days each week with one day working from home after a period of induction. Due to the schedule of Graduate College training and events, the day working from home is likely to be required to be Tuesday or Thursday, and will be co-ordinated based on the schedule.
