Friend & Grant Ltd is a well established accountancy practice based in Kings Hill and Strood. Over recent years we have built a strong property team and are looking to find a number two to our head of property to continue to build the client bank and further develop specialist tax and accountancy services for our growing property client bank.
The individual will be responsible for:
• supporting our head of property,
• managing the workflow
• ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations within the sector,
• developing new service offerings for property clients
• and most importantly marketing and selling our services to new and existing clients.

The ideal candidate will have an existing strong understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to develop their knowledge in property accounting CIS/VAT/SDLT/Group structures. You will be supported with training and we will encourage the successful candidate to become an expert in all things property.
Ideally you will be a part qualified (training would be provided to complete qualifications) or newly qualified chartered accountant with at least 3 years working in the profession.
The successful candidate must have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Energy and be prepared to put themselves out.
• High level of ambition.

This is a dynamic role. We would expect you to be involved in attending networking events and meeting both existing and potential new clients.
