Maintenance Team Members (Carpentry, Painting & Decorating or Plumbing)

We are looking to recruit experienced and qualified Estates Team Maintenance members with skills in either Carpentry, Painting & Decorating or Plumbing to join our Estates Department in a busy educational and boarding community.
You will support the Maintenance manager by undertaking general maintenance duties along with installations and will be required to have relevant training and experience in your field.
You will work in a professional and flexible manner that meets the demands of customers and
complete all types of painting and decorating activities both internally and externally, including paper hanging and remedial works in order to complete projects as directed by you line manager or other nominated designate.
This role requires the postholder to hold relevant trade City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Attention to detail and accurate record keeping is essential, ensuring compliance in all areas. We are looking for someone with a collaborative approach who works well as a member of a team but is also happy working on their own. Interpersonal skills are essential as well as a can-do attitude. A general user knowledge of IT is required for the uploading of documents and keeping of records.
Competitive salaries dependent upon qualifications and experience. The roles are 40 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday, all year round, but some flexibility is required including the occasional weekend and evening if there is an emergency or a pre-planned event. The Project Plumber role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
In addition to the above, Benenden School offer employees’ pension contribution, meals provided free of charge whilst on duty, free on-site parking, and use of the school’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool.
Benenden School is an independent day and boarding school for girls, founded in 1923 and situated in 250 acres of beautiful parkland in rural Kent. At present, there are 550 girls in the school. A considerable amount of new building has been completed in recent years, including an All-Weather Pitch, Staff Housing and a new School Hall and Music School.
