Office Administrator (Part-time)
Dialogue Matters is a small, informal, and friendly company and we are looking for someone special to join our team. We design and facilitate Stakeholder Dialogue and train people in great practice. Dialogue Matters is also strengthening its reputation with highly interactive, online workshops and training. Our work results in better decisions and outcomes for people and nature or better research and research impact. We work here in the UK and abroad, and at local, regional, and international levels.
We are looking for a confident, experienced, and professional Office Administrator to carry out a diverse range of administrative and organisational responsibilities and tasks.
You will:
Take responsibility for company and business administration
Keep the office environment well organised
Carry out financial administration and work with our bookkeeper
Liaise with sub-contractors
Develop company marketing
Support projects taking care of administrative tasks
Take bookings, organise and setup our training course
Support the Director with company and occasional private tasks as needed
Support the rest of the team and business with other tasks as required
Join the rest of the team in taking care of the office dog!
You will bring:
A ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability and skills to work both as part of a small team and independently
Experience working as an office administrator
An ability to adapt to fast changing priorities
Professional work skills (emails, phone, self-management, time-management, work prioritisation)
Familiarity and competence with Microsoft Office software
Familiarity and competence with video conferencing applications (Zoom, MS Teams)
A willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks
Experience of working in a small or micro business (preferable but not essential)
A keen interest in the natural environment and/or stakeholder participation would be an advantage. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude looking for a varied position. Our office is rural, so own transport is essential.
Salary: £22,500-23,500 per annum, pro rata (actual £9,600-10,027 @ 16 hours per week)
Hours and terms: Part time 16 hours per week Mon-Fri (with flexibility around hours/days)
Pension: NEST (subject to earning threshold being reached)
Holiday: 25 days pro rata (11 days actual plus proportion of Bank Holidays)
