Head of Maintenance

£55,000 to £61,000 per annum
Your new company
We are currently recruiting for a leading UK institution located in Canterbury, Kent. The company have a number of different local locations with multiple buildings and large grounds on the estate.
Your new role
The role will see you responsible for the Electrical, Mechanical and Building Fabric along with the Landscape and Grounds Maintenance. Ensure works are carried out for both PPM and reactive works through a dedicated team of trades and operational managers.
Some aspects of the role are as follows, please enquire for a full description.
* Responsibility for the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, building and site infrastructure.
* Investigate where failures occur from a technical or Health and safety perspective.
* Maintaining the PPM system to ensure all statutory PPM is compliant and in line with the CAFM system.
* Responsibility for compliance with Procurement and Financial regulations and budgets. Ensure contracts are in place for key service areas.
* On call 1 week in 5. This is paid in addition to salary.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services or equivalent, demonstrate industry experience over a sustained period
Experience and competency of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) software packages
Extensive experience and relevant technical knowledge of building services, grounds and facilities management their technologies and their impact on the work environment in a complex technical environment.
Detailed knowledge of statutory health & safety and built environment legislation
Experience of preparing and presenting technical and financial reports with options appraisal and recommendations.
What you'll get in return
Salary offering £55,000 to £61,000 per annum.
Plus £2000 per annum for On call 1 week in 5
