Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join their team.
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for installing and overseeing a team of professionals specialising in electrical installations on commercial vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Install systems on commercial vehicles according to specifications and safety standards.
Oversee a team of technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality installations.
Coordinate the scheduling and allocation of resources for installation projects.
Collaborate with the product design department to provide input and assistance in developing new products and improving existing ones.
Conduct off-site operation and maintenance demos for customers, demonstrating the proper use and functionality of the installed systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the installation process.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that arise during the installation process.
Provide training and guidance to technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the team members.
Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation related to installations, maintenance,
and customer interactions.
Willingness to travel overseas for installations, maintenance, or customer support as
required.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in electrical installations is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of pneumatics, electrics, and hydraulics
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with
customers.
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Flexibility to work off-site, travel overseas and accommodate customer schedules.
Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Valid driving licence and a clean driving record.
