Your next company are going through a period of expansion and as a result they'd like us to recruit a Transport Planner. The Director would like to recruit a "positive, enthusiastic, never giving up individual". You'll need to be helpful and an outgoing person who can get along with and support others.

Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Near Hythe (Office based)

Salary: £26k - £30k + Bonuses

Benefits: On site parking, company mobile phone, casual dress, company events

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm and a Saturday morning 8:30am-12pm

As a Transport Planner you'll be responsible for:

* Logging jobs to Groupage sheets
* Planning consolidation of import & export loads for trailers
* Preparing paperwork for loads, including CMRs, Delivery Notes etc.
* Creating trans-shipping sheets
* Managing stock levels in warehouse
* Liaising with workshop for vehicle / trailer maintenance
* Updating worksheets & customer portals
* Ensuring all telephone calls / e-mails are answered in a timely fashion.
* Ensuring customers are given regular updates on the progress of their bookings
* Monitoring collections / deliveries ensuring they are on time
* Assisting in day-to-day planning
* Advising clients and team members of any delays etc
* Aiding in the resolution of any issues from customers & suppliers.
* Updating the company Fleet Management System
* Any additional tasks as required by the General Manager

You'll be the perfect match for this client if you:

* Previous knowledge & experience of Air Freight and Road Freight Sectors
* Strong computer skills with a sound knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Flexible approach to working hours
* A good sense of humour

*Please note, your own transport is required due to the location of this business
