Science Teacher
Are you a curious and enthusiastic educator with a passion for science and discovery? We are looking for a dedicated Science Teacher to join our school and inspire students to explore the wonders of the natural world through engaging and hands-on learning experiences.
Hays is working with a Good Ofsted rated, mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2000 students. The school is situated in Ashford and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver captivating science lessons that cover a range of subjects, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.
* Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student enquiry, critical thinking, and scientific exploration.
* Utilise laboratory equipment and technology to conduct experiments and demonstrations that enhance students' understanding of scientific principles.
* Promote scientific literacy and encourage students to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges and environmental issues.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate science with other subjects.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications. QTS
* Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary or higher education level.
* Strong knowledge of scientific principles, research methodologies, and current educational trends in science.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
