Tenancy Services Officer (housing officer)
Length of assignment: End of January 2024
Hourly rate: £18.63
Hybrid – Attend the office in Sevenoaks 2 days per week
Interviews to begin w/c 30th October
Purpose of the role: Enabling people to hold sustainable tenancies and creating places where people want to live
We are looking to speak to applicants who have an existing awareness of current issues, legislation and best practice in relation to housing and estate management.
What you'll need to succeed
•Awareness of current issues, legislation and best practice in relation to housing and estate management.
•Experience of delivering a positive customer-focused service.
•Proven track record of being solution focused and confident in Microsoft packages and learning bespoke customer record management systems.
•Experience of working in a pressured environment to achieve excellent outcomes.
Your new role
•Manage tenancies across all tenures to provide excellent tailored services that sustain tenancies and make best use of our homes.
•Build safe communities with proactive and consistent service delivery to reduce and respond to reports of anti-social behaviour, hate crime, domestic abuse, safeguarding and other tenancy breaches.
•Provide technical and professional housing/tenancy management advice.
•Effectively audit homes to identify and prevent tenancy fraud.
•Promote and signpost tenants to opportunities for training and employment to meet their aspirations and maximise their income in support of our Income Protection and Financial Well Being strategies.
•Help customers to understand their responsibilities as tenants and how to sustain their tenancy.
