The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Eurotunnel for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our Signalling Division as a Technician. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the Signalling equipment’s operational integrity. The role will entail supervision of the shift on duty, leadership of minor local projects and engineering change, as well as issuing real time safety critical operational maintenance decisions. You will promote the sharing of knowledge and expertise, mentoring, training and assessment of junior team members as required. Due to the nature of this role, you must be prepared to work on a shift pattern and participate in an on-call rota.


The Person

You will need to have gained a HNC Engineering qualification or equivalent and possess proven demonstratable experience in a lead Signalling role. You will need to possess knowledge and experience in a railway signalling and operational environment. A1 Assessor training is desirable but not essential.

This position will interest you if you are logical in your approach and enjoy problem solving, in real time. You will need to possess the aptitude to be results driven, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple work streams to ensure business objectives are met. You will need to demonstrate your ability to set high standards for quality, and work in a methodical and ordered manner. You must lead by example, providing others with clear direction.
