Your new company is a large specialist Geotechnical subcontractor based in Leatherhead that operate a large fleet of hydraulic piling rigs that service civil engineering and building sites across England and Wales. The company is a subsidiary of a large multidisciplinary building and infrastructure group which enables its ability to bid for large sized contracts.

Your new role is to work in a well-established team of three estimators reporting to the Estimating Manager to prepare properly considered cost estimates at enquiry stage for review and submission. You will adopt and promote the group vision and take ownership for the work assigned to you. The successful individual will be able to work on multiple enquiries concurrently using excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, supply chain partners and the in-house teams. The role will involve flexible working from head office in Surrey, home working and on occasion site for design briefings.

What you'll need to succeed is a degree, HND in Civil Engineering or NVQ equivalent level, suitable civil engineering site experience, proven estimating experience in civil engineering bids as an Estimator (ideally in a piling environment), understanding of methods and typical production rates / outputs. You will have a demonstrable understanding of common forms of contract, proficient in the use of company estimating software and a good knowledge of UK civil construction market. You will be an ambitious individual capable of turning leads into formal enquiries and contracts for the Group.

What you'll get in return is a £70000 salary, car allowance, 28 days per annum holiday, flexible working hours and hybrid working agreement.
