Practitioner (Catering)


Where you’ll work: The role is based at the Gallery Restaurant on the Gravesend campus, but the nature of the work will require travel to any of the College sites as required.

Your pay: Spine Points 28 (£26,893 per annum) – 30 (£28,537 per annum)

Your hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annum (FTE 1.0)

Your employment: Full time


Working within North Kent College’s Culinary Academy curriculum area and Gallery Restaurant, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced, and passionate individual to join the team as a Practitioner.

The post holder will take responsibility within the Gallery Restaurant working with learners studying towards their Professional Chef’s Diploma, giving them first-hand experience and skills that will make them successful on their chosen programme. The role will include assessments, completing portfolio evidence and monitoring progress of learners with the rest of the academic team.

Applicants ideally, would have a Level 3 Professional Cookery qualification, relevant experience, and a solid understanding of the Catering industry. Furthermore, applicants with teaching or training experience, would be beneficial. In addition, excellent communication, and organisational skills.
