Financial Accountant | Medway, Kent | upto £55k

Our client a successful organisation in Medway are looking for a Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. The organisation offer Hybrid working options working 37 hours a week.

The main purpose of the role will be the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process and reporting according to US GAAP and local statutory requirements for UK Holding Companies.

Key accountabilities include:
• Responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process for UK Holding Companies
• Responsible for annual Budget and Long-Range Plan development and reporting
• Responsible for monthly forecasting
• Ensure reporting is according to US GAAP
• Ensure compliance with all relevant SOX controls
• Ensure local statutory requirements are fulfilled correctly and timely
• Preparation and posting of journal vouchers according to tax, local GAAP and internal policies
• Preparation of tax calculations and deferred taxes
• Calculation of Accruals, Allowances, etc.
• Manage Intercompany Loans
• Account reconciliation management and proactive issue resolution
• Maintenance and reconciliation of intercompany receivable and payable activity
• Support internal and external audits while ensuring data integrity and timeliness

Skills Required
• ACCA or ACA qualified
• Experience working as a Financial Accountant or within Audit with experience in IFRS and US GAAP
• A good understanding of financial close process to support Actual, Forecast and Budget reporting
• Effective communicator with ability to translate and present complex issues and solutions to support both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in deadline driven environment with attention to detail
• Team player with the ability to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
