--New (June 2023)-- Management Accountant

Location: Sittingbourne - Hybrid Working (with occasional site visits)

Salary: Up to £55,000

The Opportunity:

We are representing an established company in the fresh produce industry, in their search for a newly qualified or experienced Management Accountant with excellent Excel skills. The successful candidate will be tasked with preparing weekly financial reports and monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate updates of the ERP system, and collaborating with the Financial Controller in budget creation.

Responsibilities:

- Develop weekly financial reports for teams and stakeholders
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts, highlighting budget and forecast variances using financial, KPI, and non-financial data
- Maintain management account files such as fixed asset registers, balance sheet reconciliations, and tracking utilities and fertilisers
- Generate finance packs and KPI reports on weekly and monthly schedules, including cash flow reporting, currency reconciliations, and forecasts
- Create ad hoc reports for new reporting requirements, along with monthly expense and general ledger trackers
- Regularly update purchase order data in the ERP system for accurate management information
- Ensure all ERP system components are correct, including accruals, cubes, reports, and processes
- Reconcile harvesting data for accurate reporting in the ERP system
- Manage monthly expenses through expense management system
- Assist the Financial Controller in creating the company`s administrative budgets
- Update rolling forecasts to provide year-end and cropping season estimations
- Prepare auditing requirements with the accounts team
- Communicate key information for group-level reporting, with oversight of direct growing and energy costs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Newly qualified or experienced Management Accountant
- Prior experience in a dynamic office environment
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numerical and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the fresh produce industry and ERP systems is desirable
