Accounts Trainee | Maidstone | DOE
Our client, a successful, well-established services business is seeking to recruit an Accounts Trainee to join their friendly and long-standing team.
This exciting opportunity would suit an individual who either has previous office or accounts experience and would be keen to complete a recognised accountancy qualification or an individual looking for their first office-based role. Full training will be given in this varied role with the opportunity for great career progression.

Responsibilities will include:
• Recording and processing cheques
• Stock control, ordering and processing stationary requests
• Reconciling daily banking
• Filing invoices
• Supporting the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger function; assisting with reconciliations of the sales and purchase ledger
• Requesting copy invoices
• Posting and scanning invoices
• Sending remittance advices
• Reconciling the nominal account and reporting PRC balance sheet accounts
• Assisting with the Treasury function
• Participate in the rota for daily banking at local branch
• Maintaining petty cash and posting expenses
• Management accounts assistance when required
• Sorting internal and external mail
• Other ad hoc duties
Candidates should be bright and numerate, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates looking to study an accountancy qualification such as AAT will be well received.
