Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Service

This exciting and innovative new service will provide support for children and young people, from birth to and up to 25 years old with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), residing in safe accommodation because of domestic abuse.

The successful applicants will hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CBT, counselling, Play Therapy) to enable them to deliver therapeutically informed 1-1, and occasional small group, support to children and young people based on the needs, wishes and goals that they have identified.

Are you experienced in using your therapeutic skills and knowledge to support children and young people who have experienced trauma?

Are you child-centred in your approach?

If your answer is “yes!” to these questions, then we hope you are interested to hear that we are looking for team members to join our innovative new service that will provide provide child-centred, outcome-focused, specialist support for children and young people who live in safe accommodation because of domestic abuse.

The role of the Practitioner will be to deliver therapeutically informed 1-1, and occasional small group, support to these children and young people in a way that is accessible and meaningful to them,

While your background may be in counselling, CBT, play therapy - or any other related area -w e are particularly looking for therapeutically-informed, creative, strengths-focused and resourceful individuals with excellent communication skills.

Contract: All variations of full and part-time working will be considered. Contract initially for two years. Extension subject to continued funding.
