Launch It’s new flagship Enterprise Centre is opening at Masters House in Sheerness, Kent. We are now recruiting for the position of Enterprise Manager to open, manage and run this site. The role of the Enterprise Manager exists to make a life-changing difference to some of the most marginalised young people in society.

You will specifically work with young people seeking to enter the world of work through self-employment.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and a self starter with the drive and passion to turn Masters House into a hive of entrepreneurial activity in this community that is facing significant deprivation. The right candidate will have previous experience in supporting long-term unemployed young people, or those who have significant personal and social barriers so find it difficult to fit into a mainstream employed role.

Working as part of a small but specialist team your role will be to create a busy, supportive and exciting entrepreneurial hub, premises and facilities management and client recruitment and support.

As part of the role you will also develop great relationships in the local community building referral links that may include the college, prisons and schools. Masters House has a large event space that we would like the Enterprise Manager to be full of enthusiasm about filling with a series of activities and sessions for clients in the building and the community.

We are looking for someone with excellent people skills and enterprise knowledge who is able to develop and support the young people we are working with as well as developing local partnerships. They will be expected to meet targets including building occupancy, increased survival and prosperity of the businesses in their charge. Ultimately this exciting role is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to bring this new enterprise hub to life and offer great opportunities for young start ups in Sheerness.

You might come from Welfare to Work/Employability, your background might be the third sector, you could be an employment advisor with responsibility for self-employed outcomes, regardless it is important you have a deep understanding of business start-ups with a passion for helping young people and a desire to see young people succeed.
