In your role as Production Line Tester, you will be required to test and verify that assembled Electrical Power Distribution Control Panels are manufactured in accordance with the design drawings and function as designed and specified in the electrical specification.

• Verification of manufactured Control Panels comply with GA drawings.
• Electrical test of each Control Panel in accordance with the test specification.
• Preparation of test specifications when one does not exist.
• Utilising generic test specifications where appropriate.
• Maintenance of test specifications for each Control Panel.
• Working with ES Engineering, to refine, improve, and update test procedures.
• To work with production and planning to perform the test activity in accordance with a defined plan.
• To reject panels with faults and return them to the build engineers for correction.
• Verify that Control Panel drawings are of the latest issue. If not, print out a new ‘as built’ drawings set and substitute. If these are unavailable, include an ‘IOU’ note and notify the manager so that drawings; when ready, can be sent.
• Check if there were any photographs of the panel in the ‘build pack’ and if they are up to date. If none, or out of date, write the file name and extension on the change order sheet so that photos can be linked by administrative support.
• To complete a change note form to identify any issues seen throughout the test.
• Complete and store Panel approval certificates.
• Formally approve and release for inspection certified Control Panels.
• Fix copy of test procedure to work order.
• Note the time and date that the unit completed the test on the work order.

Qualities Required
• HND in Electrical Engineering equivalent
• Minimum 2 plus years of work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
• Good organisational skills
• At-home multitasking
• Attention to detail is imperative in this role.
• Comfortable working to planned deadlines.
• Previous knowledge of working with Power Distribution Control Panels.
• Good understanding of Electrical schematic drawings
