Weights Engineer
Location: Warton - Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 DOE
The Weights Engineer team:
The role involves activities across the product lifecycle, including capability enhancement programmes and supporting production. Assessing new designs through to managing mass properties of full aircraft, both within the flight-testing regimes and customer air force operations.
What you'll be doing as a Weight / Mass Properties Engineer:
* Creating and managing mass property models to be utilised to manage the mass data for all design standards
* Component and aircraft weighing activities, issuing risk class 1 data that will be uploaded to each aircraft
* Maintaining that data within very tight tolerances throughout the life of the aircraft
* Working with customers and delivering to time scales
Your skills and experiences as a Weight / Mass Properties Engineer::
* HND/Degree in Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent with proven experience
* An awareness of mass properties engineering
* Good IT skills comfortable in the use and manipulation of Microsoft Excel and Mathsoft MathCad products
* Read and understand engineering drawings
