Design and Technology Technician / Classroom Assistant

Required for September 2023

Ashford School is seeking an outstanding Design and Technology Technician to provide support for teaching and learning in the Design and Technology Department, helping students where required, and to carry out routine maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment within the department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, and enthusiastic Design and Technology Technician to join our team.

The position requires Experience of working within a well-equipped workshop and good ICT / word processing skills. A working knowledge of CAD / CAM is desirable, together with basic knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH requirements.

Duties include the ability to use the machines within the workshops in a safe and efficient manner and the ability to repair and maintain equipment and machines whilst demonstrating a high level of competency in using them. Please see the job description for full details.

Hours of work: 32 hours per week over 5 days (Monday – Friday, term time only)

Holidays to be taken when the school is not in session.
