In line with the Government’s target for an additional 50,000 nurses, there is a need to gain further insight into the development of sustainable placement opportunities across the nursing fields. This Project Lead Role is an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead this Health Education England Project in meeting its nursing expansion targets.


Role


The post holder will work collaboratively with key staff within the University and placement providers to instigate, implement and evaluate an increase in placement capacity across adult, child and mental health nursing. The role will include reviewing the Faculty’s increased commissions project, review of current placement plans to reduce any potential overlap. The post holder will explore placement opportunities in the third sector, including development, implementation and evaluation of novel placements. Further consideration will be given to the implementation and evaluation of alternative models for student support in practice.



The Person



The post holder will be passionate about learning in practice and able to consider novel approaches to placement expansion. The individual will have an understanding of the regulatory requirements for practice learning and an ability to establish and maintain productive professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. The post holder will be required to facilitate learning opportunities.
