An opportunity has arisen within an established firm for an experienced Bookkeeper. They are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their team of 11 staff who service two offices to provide top-quality bookkeeping and VAT services to their diverse client based in Kent. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail. They will be confident and expected to show initiative and be diligent in their work. They must be capable of working independently with appropriate training and support. People who are passionate about coming to work to make a difference and get creative. You must be able to engage well with others as this role is very client facing and you will have a lot of interaction with clients.

Duties:
- Bookkeeping duties for a range of clients using a variety of software
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping and software queries
- Liaising with clients to ensure all records can be completed and VAT Returns filed within the deadline
- Prepare and review management accounts from information and documentation received from clients
- Develop and maintain good client relations
- Familiarity with HMRC, Companies House, and other regulatory websites
- Able to critically analyse the processes currently in place and put forward proposals to improve them

The ideal Bookkeeper should be AAT fully qualified or studying, previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice is essential.
Ideally, you will have strong IT skills, including experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Dext or Sage experience is desirable. Preferably you will have 1-2 + years of recent experience in a bookkeeping position.

There will be occasional travel between their offices, ideally once every two weeks. They are open to flexibility and could consider someone on a 4-day week or a 5hr x 5-day week. They offer hybrid working with a pattern of 3 days office and 2 days WFH.
