Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd. has been appointed to assist our established client with an immediate requirement for an Independent Living Officer initially for a period up to 2 months, but with an immediate start required.

Knowledge, Skills & Expertise:
In order to meet the requirements of the role, you will need demonstratable housing management or relevant customer contact experience in this field, ideally with an understanding of housing and tenancy legislation and practice, plus an understanding of safeguarding adults is necessary.

Where is the role based?
The role will be based at one scheme in central Folkestone and covering a small number of other neighbourhood schemes in the immediate vicinity

Hours & rate of pay:
37 hours per week
£15.08 per hour - £17.19 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills and experience

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Working as part of the neighbourhood teams, to provide an effective and customer focused service to tenants living within the Independent Living Schemes.
The ILO will oversee the health safety of the sites and all tenants ensuring the properties are well managed, maintained, safe and clean.
The ILO will ensure that effective tenancy sustainment work is undertaken with those customers who need help to manage their tenancy and maintain independent living.
The ILO will provide advice and sign-post residents to agencies and services that will also help them support their independence.
