The Atlas Recruitment Group are currently searching for a Database Administrator to join a Cloud Transformation organisation on a permanent basis. You will be working on a hybrid working model and will be in the office once a week, with the rest from home.

The organisation provides Cloud Transformation services to enterprise Public Sector customers , to help them on their journey into the cloud. You will be working for a growing organisation that is a part of a group of companies, turning over half a billion pounds a year and profits directly funding the NHS and the Police Force.

* Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles and a detailed knowledge of database architectures software and facilities
* Provide consultancy advice on requests and attend meetings to present proposals and solutions to stake holders and contribute to planning activities, production and maintenance of the technical roadmaps and technical documentation
* Monitor database activity, trends and resources and being responsible for initiating exercises to optimise performance as well as forecasting future resource demands, presenting and preparing casing for additional resources as appropriate
* Produce and maintain plans for backup and recovery of database, application and servers
* Lead on and ensure that backups are carried our as per agreed plans and manage exercises to prove recovery procedures

Experience Required:

* Azure & M365
* Previous experience as a DBA or Senior Application Support in a large enterprise or service delivery environment
* Understanding of architecture and designing solutions
* Ideally Oracle Application support experience
