Management Accountant | Hybrid – Dartford | £40k - £45k DOE

This Management Accountant job will be working for a Global organisation who have an enviable reputation for having an outstanding culture, resulting in incredibly low staff turnover and very few opportunities to join the finance team.

Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office, this role reports to the Financial Accounts Manager and the main purpose of the role would to be involved in various aspects of preparation of the monthly and year end accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Enter month end journals
• Calculate prepayments and accruals
• Maintain schedules to reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
• Calculate commissions/management charges payable to each of the groups companies in the UK & Europe
• Prepare monthly schedules showing detailed analysis of all Profit and Loss accounts for cost centre managers, tax computations and budget preparation.
• Prepare monthly expense reports for cost centre managers.
• Carry out Internal Audits
• Assist with the preparation of schedules for year-end tax requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of the Multi-Country VAT returns and Intrastat reporting.
• Support the preparation of the Annual Statutory Accounts and year end Audit, as required.
• Assist with the preparation of forecast and annual budgeting process.
• Support the Finance team in developing greater freight analysis reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement within the department and provide support to other departments with their own improvement activities.

Person specification
• Part/fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• All round management accounting experience
• ERP system experience
• Driven and ambitious
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinker and problem solver
• Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables & vlookups
