This popular and oversubscribed Gillingham, Medway secondary academy are looking for a temporary teacher of Geography to cover a minimum 12 week assignment starting in January 2023. Experienced teachers and NQTs will be considered as well as experienced cover supervisors and unqualified candidates.

This good school teaches Geography at KS3 and KS4 as part of a wider Humanities framework. In this role you will be asked to teach a KS3 timetable of Geography lessons designed to excite and enthuse students with the desire to continue their learning of the subject at GCSE. You will be an active and passionate classroom practitioner able to make learning fun!

You will be given planning time as well as ample time and support to prepare your lesson material. You will work with mixed ability students with a passion for their learning. You will be expected to challenge and develop their understanding of your subject and ensure that they have the best opportunity at achieving a great GCSE.

To be successful in this role you will need:

* The ability to teach Geography at KS3 and KS4
* The ability to lead learners with excellent classroom presence
* The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
* The experience of using current educational technology
* The up-to-date knowledge of current teaching practices and safeguarding legislation
