Pearson Whiffin Education are recruiting for an Art Technician with an immediate start. The Art department in this school is a varied and exciting environment where you will work with strong, committed teachers who are dedicated to ensuring the success of their students.

The school is now looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional Art Technician to join the team, working within the Creative Arts Department which includes Design Technology, Food Technology, Resistant Materials, Art and Art & Design.

The job role will consist of:

* Assisting teachers with the preparation of lesson materials
* Setting up and clearing away supplies
* Assisting in the catering / food department
* Ensuring that all classrooms are clean and tidy at the beginning and end of lessons

The successful candidate will need to have the following:

Essential:

* DBS or willingness to obtain one
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
* The ability to work independently and use your initiative
* The ability to prioritise and organise your own time
* A patient approach with students
* Responsible & conscientious approach to Health & Safety

Desirable:

* Experience of working in a school
* Knowledge of relevant codes of practice
* Experience in working within Art and DT Department
